Nansha Science City bolsters Guangzhou's sci- tech innovation

The general office of the Guangzhou municipal people's government issued the Notice on Publishing the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) for Scientific and Technological Innovation in Guangzhou on Feb 18.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) period, Guangzhou will build a science and technology innovation axis, with China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City and Nansha Science City as the poles, linking Qingsheng area, Pearl Science Park and other key science and technology innovation nodes in the city to build a space for science and technology innovation.

The Nansha section of the Guangzhou science and technology innovation axis takes Nansha Science City and Pearl Science Park as the core hubs, focusing on the layout and construction of major science and technology infrastructure clusters in the ocean, space, energy, as well as information fields.

The plan proposes four core areas, such as Nansha Science City, to drive science and technology innovation, bolstering Guangzhou's development.

Nansha Science City will build itself into a global innovation center for marine science and engineering. It will also serve as a global hub of open cooperation for innovation and development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
