Hengli Biomedical Industrial Park project starts construction

Construction on the Hengli Biomedical Industrial Park project of the Nansha Science and Innovation Center started on Feb 16.

The project is located in Guangzhou Nansha Biological Valley, with a total construction area of about 200,000 square meters.

A biomedical research center will be built in the park and is expected to attract renowned enterprises involved in fields like high value-added gene therapy medicines and cell therapy medicines.

This project is the first general science and technology park in the field of biotechnology in Nansha district, which will boost the development of the district's biotechnology industry.

Upon completion, the park will become an important part of the life sciences and technology fields in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Nansha has laid out the biotechnology industry chain, as well as made great efforts to build a new medical and health platform in the Greater Bay Area recently, attracting more than 300 enterprises in related industries to settle in the district.
