Nansha referred as accelerator of Guangzhou

The first session of the 16th Guangzhou  Municipal People's Congress was launched on Jan 25 and Nansha was mentioned by 18 times in the work report.

Nansha will continue to promote high-level development and opening-up, as the development and construction of Nansha are among the nine key tasks in the 2022 Guangzhou's work schedule.

To plan and construct Nansha hub with high standard, to accelerate the development of major transport infrastructures such as the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway was mentioned in the session.

Nansha was also required to launch trials for high-quality opening up of cross-border trade and investment and build a global distribution center for quality products in the report.

Accelerating the construction of a comprehensive transportation system that integrates air, rail and sea, promoting the completion of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) were also mentioned in the report.

Promoting the construction of Nansha Area of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone and building it into a demonstration zone for all-round cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao are mentioned on Nansha's mission list in the next five years.
