30 mins saved for traveling from Nansha to Jiangmen

The fourth phase of Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway was officially opened on Dec 27 for full operation.

The T-styled expressway is around 67 kilometers in length and was built in four phases. The first three phases were completed in 2016, 2017, and 2020. It runs through four cities in Guangdong: Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, and Jiangmen.

Along the 6-km fourth phase, 3.23 km of it is a bridge featuring both a road and a railway. The upper layer is for cars while the under layer is for Nansha Port Railway, being Guangdong's first project owning both highways and electrified railway.

Upon operation motorists from Nansha to Jiangmen can save half an hour. The traffic of the whole Expressway of Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Jiangmen will help Nansha to further build and improve the convenient transportation network. Driving from Nansha to Jiangmen will save about 30 minutes by car.

"My hometown is located in Jiangmen, it will be very convenient for me to go home in the future," said a man surnamed Liu, who currently works in Nansha.
