Nansha steps up renovation of bridges, interchange

The renovation of bridges in Nansha has been accelerated, while repairs on the Lanhe and Beidou bridges are nearing completion, local media outlets reported on Jan 5.

Lanhe Bridge has been closed for maintenance since Dec 4, 2021. The bridge replacement has been completed, and work is underway on the wet joints and pavement.

The pile foundations, caps and columns of the damaged piers on Beidou Bridge have been repaired, and the beams are currently under construction.

The B ramp bridge on the entrance side of the Huangge Interchange reconstruction area in Huangge town resumed normal traffic on Dec 31, 2021, putting an end to nearly eight months of construction.

The Huangge toll station lane entrance side D ramp bridge's left side now has two lanes, and the ramp bridge at entrance side B has been widened. The renovations have largely solved the traffic congestion problem at the entrance of the Huangge Interchange.
