Nansha stomatological hospital unveils eye-catching design

The design of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Nansha) was released recently, as reported by local media outlets on Dec 23.

The hospital is located in western Hengli Island, the starting area of Pearl Bay. With a total area of 106,000 square meters, the hospital will provide 200 beds and 400 comprehensive dental treatment units.

An intelligent digital medical system will be applied in the hospital featuring information infrastructure, construction equipment monitoring and public security. It will be able to provide integrated intelligent digital medical services for patients.

Three main sections will be formed by the L-shaped layout of the hospital, one for medical treatment, one for teaching, research and administration, and one for life services. Corridors will also be built for convenient communication between different areas.

The hospital has been integrated with the surrounding natural environment, as the university is striving to make it a major landmark in the district.
