Phase I of the Nansha International Logistics Center's south cold chain project has officially started cooling down, marking the operation of China's largest single cold storage.
The first phase of the project, with a total investment of 1.96 billion yuan ($307 million) and a total storage capacity of 227,000 metric tons, has completed construction on three cold storages, a cold storage yard, a supporting building and a storage yard of 80,000 square meters.
The project flexibly adopts a refrigeration system according to actual application scenarios, among which international advanced environment-friendly ammonia and CO2 refrigerants are adpoted in the -23 C refrigeration room.
In order to meet the diverse needs of frozen products in the temperature zone, the project adopts advanced variable temperature technology to flexibly adjust the temperature zone, and monitors and manages the temperature in the warehouse through a temperature and humidity probe.
The Nansha International Logistics Center will speed up construction on the cold chain logistics service center, frozen goods distribution center, frozen goods trading center and public service platform of the southern cold chain project, providing one-stop cold chain services in Nansha.
