Nansha maker team wins AI award at annual developer festival

The fourth World Sound Expo and Global 1024 Developer Festival 2021 was held in Hefei, Anhui province from Oct 23 to 26.

In 2018, IFLYTEK established its South China Artificial Intelligence Research Institute in Nansha, becoming an important force in the construction of artificial intelligence industry in Nansha.

Over 1,000 of the latest scientific and technological achievements from iFLYTEK were showcased at the conference including a robot that can play weiqi ("go"). The robot is able to adjust its own strength according to the actual level of the opponent by using voice interaction as well as other human-like technologies.

The Nansha-based Dorabot maker team was awarded as one of the top 10 new teams in AI during the event.

Aiming to streamline intelligent unmanned warehouses, the team carried out strategic cooperation with Nansha in 2018 and set up a research and development center focusing on the research and application of mobile robots. 

At present, the industrial robot products developed by the team are being tested and applied in local automobile factories, which are used to transport parts on specific production lines.
