7th Guangzhou sailing to catch wind on Nov 6

The 7th Guangzhou Outdoor Sports Festival Sailing Open Regatta will be held at Nansha yacht club on Nov 6.

The event service team is operated by the Guangzhou Yachting Association, which has a host of members with refereeing experience at the Asian Games and the National Games.

Eight J70 sailing boats will be used in the two-day race. The J70 has an all-carbon mast design, which makes it light and easy to operate with a weight of only 800 kilograms. 

All boats are equipped with uniform material sails for racing. Only clubs, schools or units in Guangzhou are allowed to register in the regatta. 

In addition to the exciting small keel group races, there will be a mixed race of professional and amateur athletes each day. This will not only test the sailing skills of the participating athletes, but also show the spirit of teamwork.
