Nansha showcases charm at Canton Fair

Guangzhou's Nansha district has given full play to the ongoing 130th China Import and Export Fair to further promote itself on the global stage. The fair commenced in Guangzhou on Oct 15 and will last till Oct 19.

The China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, is currently the world's largest physical exhibition event to take place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the district was approved as a national demonstration zone for import trade promotion and innovation in Nov 2020, Nansha has successfully made innovative achievements and development plans. 

Nansha enterprises have taken an active part in participating in the event and a great majority of them are private and foreign-invested enterprises that manage sectors spanning import and export, intelligent manufacturing, medicine and electronics. 

These enterprises will attend the event either online or offline to embrace new business opportunities.

Efforts have been made by Nansha to promote the construction of a national demonstration zone, putting forward a strategic plan for further cultivation.

An official from the Nansha commerce bureau noted that the district will devote continuous efforts to establishing a high-quality import system and accelerate the construction of a modern comprehensive logistics system to expand its import scale.
