The Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation (Guangzhou Nansha) Service Center was established in Guangzhou's Nansha district on Oct 11, welcoming 16 Hong Kong professional institutes from industrial and commercial circles.
The Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation was set up in April and consists of 27 experts, scholars and professionals from both the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong as its first batch of employees.
It has established nine special working groups, the secretariat and a working station in Hong Kong to make great contributions by promoting cooperation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
The service center is equipped with offices, meeting rooms and a multifunctional area for activities.
In recent years, Nansha district has been popular for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to invest in with the operation of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail line, which has shortened the travel time between Nansha and Hong Kong to half an hour. It has now been home to nearly 3,000 companies and over 300 youth entrepreneurship teams from Hong Kong and Macao.
