Zhanjiang delegation visits Nansha

A delegation led by officials from Zhanjiang, Guangdong province visited Guangzhou's Nansha district on Aug 30.

The Zhanjiang delegation visited several sites such as the Nansha Port area and the Nansha planning exhibition hall to learn about the current situation of Nansha's international shipping hub construction and the overall layout of the Mingzhu Science Park.

The Guangzhou Port Group and the Zhanjiang Port Group signed a business cooperation agreement in Guangzhou in July to carry out all-around cooperation in various areas spanning multimodal transport and smart logistics to form a more convenient logistics passage.

Nansha Port area is the main force of Guangzhou Port and is also the biggest comprehensive hub port in South China with the most complete functions.

The container throughput of Nansha Port area in 2020 reached 17.22 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) and 40 percent of the containers were for export trade.
