Guangzhou Binhai Experimental School (Nansha), which is located in Nansha's Huangge town, officially unveiled its plaque on Aug 30.
The school has two campuses, namely the north campus and the south campus.
The north campus of the school was built at a cost of about 357 million yuan ($52.27 million), and is located at the west side of Fengze West Road in Huangge town, covering a total area of around 59,000 square meters and has a floorage of around 56,500 sq m.
The north campus of the school is a public school offering a nine-year compulsory education with 54 classes, of which 36 are for primary school students.
The south campus of the school is situated at the west side of Fenghuang Avenue with a total area of nearly 29 mu (1.93 hectares), and will offer 24 classes.
After opening its doors, the school will devote efforts to improve public service to meet up with the education demands in the future.
Guo Kunfeng, the person in charge of the school, said that the school will strive to become a first-class demonstration school for compulsory education in Guangzhou by applying first-class facilities, high-quality teaching faculties and advanced management.
