Two community service centers in Nansha's Hengli town unveil their plaques and are opened to the public.

Two community service centers in Nansha's Hengli town have unveiled their plaques and opened to the public, local media outlets reported on July 8.

One of the service centers has been built into a complex offering one-stop community public services for local residents in areas spanning self-management service, cultural and sports services and volunteer services.

The other center covers a total area of nearly 1,737 square meters and costs around 5 million yuan ($770,612). It includes separate rooms for dancing, opera, working out, documents and rehabilitation, in an effort to enrich the cultural life of local residents.

"I used to be a farmer before the land I worked on was expropriated and demolished, so I'm really excited for these centers," said a woman surnamed Li, who lives in the area.

An official from Hengli town said that the community service centers fully showcase Nansha's development achievements and are expected to help build a service complex in Hengli facing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area at a higher level.
