Phoenix Square, a new commercial complex in Guangzhou's Nansha district, saw construction work finished on its main structure on July 1.

Following works such as the construction of its exterior walls, internal decorations will be carried out and the whole project is expected to be completed in June 2022.

A new landmark for the district, the square is located at the intersection of Fenghuang Avenue and Nange South Road, covering a total floorage of around 284,000 square meters. A large-scale commercial complex integrating office buildings, apartments and shopping malls, it will be the third of its kind in Nansha.

The project features four office buildings and a shopping center. One of the office buildings will be a 152-meter first-class office building with 34 floors, while the shopping center will have five floors with an overall floorage of 100,000 sq m.

A slide in the shape of flowers has been designed to connect the second and third floors of the square, in order to provide more fun for children.

Three transport systems have been designed, one each for cars, pedestrians and trucks, to make sure that the impacts of these vehicles on people can be minimized.
