A free exhibition celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China is now open at Nansha Library, and will last until August 20.

The concentrated display, exploring revolutionary stories which took place in Nansha during the new-democratic revolution, is the first of its kind in the district.

The exhibition is set up along the corridors on the first floor of the library, the foreign book reading room on the second floor and the self-study zone on the third floor.

More than 100 exhibits are on display at the exhibition, such as a whole set of the magazine La Jeunesse (New Youth) and a river chart of the Dongjiang River from 1921.

The exhibition area on the first floor mainly focuses on Nansha's revolutionary stories, including the development of Nansha's peasant movements, the establishment of the Lanhe Party branch, and the setting-up of the anti-Japanese resistance base in Lanhe.

Pictures hung up along the stairs in the library showcase the extraordinary 100-year journey of the CPC.

Apart from the exhibition, activities such as a painting exhibition on the fourth floor of the library, and a calligraphy and painting exhibition underground are also available for the public to view.
