An art exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China opened at the Greater Bay Area International Art Bonded Industry Center in Guangzhou's Nansha district on June 28.

Artworks created by famous modern and contemporary art masters, military artists and cultural celebrities are on display, as are collections by patriotic collectors.

More than 40 sets of exhibits in genres such as Chinese ink paintings, oil paintings, calligraphy, sculpture, installation art and videos are on display during the exhibition, showcasing the history of the CPC over the past 100 years. Seven of the exhibits are China's first grade cultural relics.

"This is my second time visiting Nansha and this place impresses me a lot. I feel proud that my works, and my teacher's, can be displayed here," said the artist Liang Shihao, student of China's famous calligraphy master Guan Shanyue.

Innovations have been made in the overall design of the exhibition, with exhibits no longer on the traditional display shelves but instead using spatial installations to form the shape of the CPC flag.

The exhibition will be available from June 28 to the end of July. Those who wish to visit have to make reservations.
