Guangzhou's Nansha district is set to deliver 51 decorations around the district to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China, said Shi Yong, deputy director of the administrative committee of Nansha Development Zone, during a press conference held on June 21.
The installations will be placed in areas such as the gateway of the district, major transport hubs and major roads.
A large-scale landscape depicting sails, dolphins and waves will be available at the civic square of Nansha district. It will also be lit up in the evening to showcase the charm of the Nansha night.
Renovation and upgrading of the landscaping along major roads in the district such as Huangge South Road, Jin'gang Avenue and Nansha Avenue will be pushed forward to beautify the local environment.
The district has achieved remarkable outcomes in terms of ecological restoration. It has newly-grown or restored 32 hectares of mangrove forest, afforested 5,000 mu (333 hectares) of green land and built 200 mu of protective forest along the coast.
