To ensure the supply of construction materials, the project department offers a subsidy of 1,000 yuan ($157) per day if the truck drivers are put under quarantine in Nansha, said Yang Mengchun, head of the construction headquarters.

As a precaution, all the workers at the Pearl Bay Bridge construction site are subject to daily body temperature measurements and regular nucleic acid tests, as are employees of Nansha-based APT Electronics Co Ltd.

The enterprise has coordinated with its partners and the local traffic department to ensure the transportation of supplies, according to Ruan Chenghai, deputy director of APT Electronics's Packaging Engineering Department.
