An agricultural products sales and marketing center was unveiled on April 25 in Mingzhu modern urban agricultural experimental park in Guangzhou's Nansha district, being the first of its kind in the district.
The facility sells products from areas that have brokered cooperation deals with Nansha, to boost their sales. It will employ live streaming and business negotiations, among other things, with the goal of broadening trade and coordinated development between eastern and western China.
The exhibition area of the center covers around 3,000 square meters and facilities such as warehouses, refrigeration houses and areas for packaging and distribution are available nearby.
At present, a total of 191 agricultural products are on display in the center, including roxburgh rose juice from Anshun in Guizhou, peanut crisps from Meizhou in Guangdong, red dates from the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and local Nansha fruit.
Nansha signed a contract on consumption cooperation for eastern and western China with the Xixiu district of Anshun city during the ceremony.

A themed live streaming session was also held, promoting the distinctive agricultural products of Anshun. The products have also been put onto an online store to boost sales.
Nansha teamed with Guizhou to help products from three counties in the Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture achieve sales in markets in East China of 417 million yuan ($64 million) in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 44.79 percent.
Sales of agricultural products from Jiaoling county and Pingyuan county in Meizhou in 2020 reached 64.5 million yuan, with the help of Nansha district.
Plans are for Nansha to make full use of its geographical advantages to promote such areas – with it being close to the thriving consumer markets of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the consumption power of the Greater Bay Area.
It will aim to promote collaboration and paired assistance between China's eastern and western regions.
