Updated: 2021-04-26chinadaily.com.cn

Construction of the Shrewsbury School at the Pearl Bay starting area in Guangzhou's Nansha district will be completed by the end of this year.

The international school will begin enrollment in 2022, offering education to 1,800 kindergarten, primary, junior high and senior high students in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

As of now, the dormitory and kindergarten have already been topped off, and the semicircular-shaped main teaching building has taken shape as well.

The school boasts a sound learning and living environment due to separated dynamic sports grounds and static teaching and dormitory areas. It will feature stereoscopic landscaping with rooftop gardens.

The British Shrewsbury School was founded by Edward VI in 1552 and has a history of 468 years. It has only three Chinese branches in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
