A delegation led by Chen Shanrong, head of the China National Environmental Monitoring Center (CNMEC), visited the Guangzhou International Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Guangzhou's Nansha district on March 17.
On Jan 27, the two sides forged a strategic cooperation agreement regarding the innovative application of smart supervision.

A staff member from the institute also introduced some technologies and their applications in relation to the ecological environment.
"CNEMC has outstanding data resources and is looking forward to carrying out deep cooperation with the institute and its laboratories, to push forward the application of advanced technologies such as AI, big data and block chain in China's environmental supervision and ecological protection," said Chen.
The Guangzhou International Institute of AI, first established in October 2017, has cast its eyes on cutting-edge technologies such as AI, big data and the internet of things. It has also pushed forward work including talent attraction, technology research, product development and investment incubation. To date, the institute has welcomed nearly 100 companies to settle down.
