Three Nansha agricultural organizations win national recognition

Three agricultural organizations in Guangzhou's Nansha district received national titles for being a national leading agricultural company or a national demonstration aquafarm during an award ceremony held on Feb 23.

The three organizations were Guangdong Suifangyuan Industry Co Ltd, the Shengshitangfeng Aquafarm in Dongchong, and Nansha Xinghai Aquaculture Seedlings Farm.

Companies are one of the major forces helping to promote rural revitalization and boost the regional economy. The district has been devoting great efforts towards cultivating agricultural companies by taking initiatives such as offering more political support, regulating certification processes and providing guidance. 

Nansha's total agricultural output value in 2020 exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion), setting a historical new high and ranking top in Guangzhou. 

The district has seen 10 companies win the title of provincial leading agricultural company for the first time, and another 17 win the title of municipal leading agricultural companies in 2020 - both the highest proportion in Guangzhou. 

In addition, nine companies were listed as leading agricultural companies at district level in Nansha, and 10 agricultural parks gained municipal recognition.
