Distinctive Nansha agricultural parks recommended for upcoming holiday

The 13 agricultural parks and bases of Nansha district are good options for locals looking to enjoy their Spring Festival holiday, according to officials from the district's agriculture and rural affairs bureau.  

Guangzhou Guansheng Agricultural Park, which focuses on the seeding industry, integrated the distinctive styles of Dongchong town, where it is located, into its overall design. The park is divided into four themed areas: namely farming, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing.

Zhizheng Modern Agricultural Park, which applies an innovative, environmentally-friendly agricultural model, provides a comfortable environment for people to pick fresh and healthy fruit and vegetables such as grapes, melons, passion fruit and guavas.

Locals can also visit the cultural creative park in Lanhe town and explore Xiangyun yarn, one of Nansha's intangible cultural heritages, to experience the combination between traditional culture and modern techniques. 

Those who want to enjoy the beauty of flowers can go to the flower plantation base in Niujiao village, Lanhe town. Covering a total area of 45 mu (3 hectares), the base allows visitors to get a close look at delicate flowers such as the orchid.

"People can follow the official WeChat account of the bureau of agriculture and rural affairs of Guangzhou municipality to get relevant information about local landscapes, high-quality agricultural projects and rural tourism to better arrange their holidays," said a person in charge of the Nansha agriculture and rural affairs bureau.
