First batch of equipment in place for Nansha Port construction

The first batch of equipment required for the construction of a fully automatic container wharf in the fourth-phase of Nansha Port's development arrived on Jan 30.

This equipment includes two automated single trolley quayside axles, four automatic rail-mounted gantry cranes and 10 intelligent guidance vehicles. 

The fourth phase wharf of Nansha Port will be built into the first automatic container wharf in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, in order to meet the development demands of the construction of the Belt and Road as well as the Greater Bay Area itself.

The construction of the project will apply a series of advanced technologies such as the application of 5G technologies, advanced data centers, intelligent automatic handling equipment, cutting-edged equipment control systems, unmanned intelligent guidance vehicles and personnel location management systems, all of which will strive to turn the wharf into a benchmark for new intelligent ports.
