A ro-ro cargo ship of K-LINE containing 377 SGMW Baojun 530 vehicles departed from Guangzhou Port Nansha Automotive Terminal on Dec 21, heading for countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.

It marked the official start of operation of the ro-ro shipping route between Nansha and the Middle East conducted by K-LINE.

K-LINE is an outstanding supplier offering global logistics services from Japan that has opened shipping routes all over the world.

The Baojun 530 vehicle is a global model independently developed by SGMW that is now mainly sold to markets in areas like South America, the Middle East, and Africa.

The reason why K-LINE chose Nansha as its departure port was because of the Guangzhou Port Nansha Automotive Terminal, which is located in the geographic center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and is inside the Nansha area of the Guangdong (China) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the relevant preferential policies it enjoys.

The ro-ro wharf for automobiles in the Nansha international automobile logistics industrial park of Guangzhou Port on Nansha's Shazai Island, also known as Haijia Wharf, passed acceptance in August. It now mainly manages businesses like wharf handling, distribution, and delivery.

At present, Haijia Wharf has established an interconnected sharing platform with the Guangzhou Port Nansha Automotive Terminal to provide whole industrial chain service, with security and efficiency, for the automobile logistics industry.
