The China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC) signed a contract with the administrative committee of the Nansha Development Zone to set up a technology park on the new generation of information technology in Nansha district during a high-end summit held from Dec 17 to 19.
The summit, hosted by CECC, gathered more than 200 attendees, including experts, scholars, as well as representatives from renowned companies from home and abroad like Xiaomi and Lenovo to share their opinions on the development of the new generation of information technology in Nansha district and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
CECC's technology park in Nansha district is expected to make contributions to the further development of Nansha's electronic information industry and the new generation of information technology industry.
A total of nine member companies of CECC have signed agreements to be part of the first batch of enterprises to settle in the park, including CloudMinds Technology Inc and Fibocom Wireless Inc.
Promotions on Nansha were made during the event, covering its development advantages, economic vitality, industrial layout, and business services.
At present, Nansha is home to more than 40 companies managing the new generation of information technology, including Guangdong Aofei Data Technology Co Ltd, APT Electronics Co Ltd, and AKM Electronics Industrial Ltd.
The output value of Nansha's new generation of information technology industry amounted to 3.71 billion yuan ($566.02 million) in 2019, while its operation revenue reached 3.84 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 46 percent.
