Metro line 18 expected to connect HZMB

The south extension part of Guangzhou Metro Line 18 is scheduled to connect Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao as it may set up a station at the artificial island of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The extension part, starting from Nansha's Wanqingsha, will set up its only station in Guangzhou in Shiliuchong. Evergrande won the bid to build supporting facilities in the surrounding area of the station, such as starred hotels, distinctive commercial streets, and indoor cultural innovation parks.

A station will be set up in Zhongshan Cuiheng New Area after Shiliuchong, and the metro line will separate for two directions as the main line will head to Zhuhai, while the branch line will head to downtown Zhongshan.
