China's largest aquatic seeding expo commences in Nansha

The 1st China Aquatic Seeding Expo commenced in Guangzhou's Nansha district on Dec 5, being the largest of its kind in China in terms of scale.

The latest achievements in China's aquatic industry development were showcased during the expo, including the latest aquatic seeds, advanced breeding equipment, and smart facilities. 

Dong Ke, mayor of Nansha district, said that holding the expo in Nansha can help promote the green breeding concept, establish a new aquatic information and trade platform, gather elements of the modern aquatic industry chain, as well as make contributions to the high-quality development of the modern aquatic industry.

Dong expressed his hope that the expo can establish a new platform for deep communication and cooperation for China's aquatic industry, as well as provide more new cooperation opportunities.

Companies and organizations from all over the country, including those from Guangdong, Shandong, Hainan, and Fujian, set up exhibition pavilions in the expo.

A relevant person in charge from the Nansha agriculture and rural affairs bureau noted that 300 companies participated in the expo, of which more than 160 of them are involved in seeding, bringing over 200 high-quality aquatic seeds from all over the country.

Nansha ranks first in Guangzhou in terms of its aquiculture area and production value, as well as its output of high-quality aquatic seeds. The output volume of over 20 kinds of aquarium fish from Nansha ranked first in China, while its output volume of 12 kinds of products, including ornamental caridina, tops the world.
