The CNBC Global Technology Conference opened in both its main venue in Guangzhou's Nansha district and CNBC's live news room in London, the United Kingdom on Nov 17.
Views from more than 130 countries and regions were able to participate in the event through online live streaming.
"We have used cutting-edged technologies to gather global elites in both online and offline venues. Nansha is filled with unlimited potential, and now is the right time for people to start innovation and entrepreneurship here. We hope to give full play to the conference to seek a new model in global technology innovation and cooperation," said Dong Ke, mayor of Nansha.
Dong noted that Nansha has worked with CNBC to hold the conference twice, establishing an important platform for communication and cooperation in global scientific innovation.
John Casey, president and managing director of CNBC International, said in London that the conference has become one of CNBC's most important events around the world.
Max Raven, senior vice president of CNBC, added that CNBC will team with the Nansha government to further promote the conference around the world.
