The CNBC Global Technology Conference is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou's Nansha district from Nov 17 to 18, announced Max Raven, senior vice president of CNBC, during a press conference on Nov 11.
This year's event will be held both online and offline due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), with live streams available in more than 130 countries and regions around the world.
An opening ceremony, three professional roundtable conferences, around 20 themed fireside chats, as well as about 20 dialogues with guests from CNBC's correspondent stations in areas like San Francisco, Singapore, and London will be held during the event.
At present, more than 180 entrepreneur representatives have confirmed their attendance to the event.
The event will showcase the latest communication and development trends in science in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, themed around seven topics spanning global economic outlook, globalization in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era, medicine and life sciences, remote and virtual technology, as well as the digitalization process.
"It is now the best opportunity to gather global giants in science and innovation for communications," said Raven. Senior managers from companies like IBM, BNP Paribas, and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation will participate in the discussions during the conference.
The CNBC Global Technology Conference is an annual tech event that brings together the world's most influential technology leaders and has been held in Guangzhou's Nansha district for two consecutive years since 2018.
The conference is sponsored by CNBC, a global leader for news in areas like business and technology.
