Nansha, Guilin cooperate in domestic waste sorting

Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has teamed with Guangzhou's Nansha district to launch an initiative on further promoting domestic waste sorting on Nov 9, being the first of trans-provincial cooperation of its kind in the country.

Communications and cooperation will be carried out in the future by Guilin and Nansha in five areas, such as sharing experiences for mutual development, building mutually complementary platforms, as well as integrating resources to make innovations in fostering the habits of residents.

"We will bring the experiences of Nansha to Guilin with this cooperation," said a person in charge of the Guilin administrative committee of urban management.

"Guilin has achieved practical experiences in implementing environmental protection concepts, especially in building the online platform for the smart management of domestic waste sorting. Nansha and Guilin will conduct deep cooperation to make more contributions to their sustainable development," said a person in charge of the Nansha urban management bureau.
