Guangzhou's Nansha district, which is located opposite of Shenzhen in the Pearl River Estuary, was further inspired by the city as the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone was celebrated on Oct 14.
Huang Xueqin, a staff member from Nansha's administrative bureau for government data, said that as a person participating in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, she has actually felt the great changes that have happened in Shenzhen in the previous four decades.
"We will apply Shenzhen's experience into our daily work and grasp the opportunities in deepening cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao to optimize the construction of a digital government in Nansha," added Huang.
Nansha will make full use of the opportunities brought by the construction of transportation networks in the Greater Bay Area, such as the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge and the Shenzhen-Maoming Railway, to build a half-hour transportation circle in the area.
The district will also deepen its cooperation with areas in Shenzhen, such as Qianhai, Nanshan, Bao'an, and Futian, to implement the plan for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen industrial cooperation zone.
