A delegation of 12 representatives from business associations in African countries such as Tanzania, Cameroon, Nigeria, Congo, Kenya and Angola visited Guangzhou's Nansha district on Aug 14.
Deep discussions on pressing issues such as cooperation opportunities between African countries and Nansha - as well as problems that African companies may run into when entering the Chinese market - were carried out during a meeting between the delegation, the foreign affairs office of Nansha district, Nansha's financial work bureau and the Southern Center for International Cooperation.
The delegation spoke highly of their visit to Nansha and put forward suggestions that cooperation in areas such as logistics and e-commerce, transit trade, agricultural product trading and research, African tourism, financial services, medical services and the export of China's mechanical equipment could be further promoted.
The Southern Center for International Cooperation achieved an intention of cooperation with the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture during the meeting and a memorandum of cooperation is expected to be signed in the near future.
