The plaque of the Chinese mainland headquarters of Vitasoy International Holdings Limited in Guangzhou's Nansha district was unveiled on June 22.
Located in Heung Kong Sci-tech Center on Jinlong Road, the headquarters was registered to be set up in Nansha in February this year.
Zhong Tingyi, CEO of Vitasoy Mainland China, said that Nansha's advantages in policies, business environment, and geographic location are more suitable to Vitasoy's development strategies and business operations.
"We will gradually arrange relevant staff members to settle down in the headquarters in Nansha based on business demands," added Zhong.
Zhong noted that the company will make full use of the strategic advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and share resources.
Vitasoy has now set up five factories on the Chinese mainland, each in Shanghai, Hubei's Wuhan, as well as Guangdong's Shenzhen, Foshan, and Dongguan.
The headquarters in Nansha will deploy the production capacity of the aforementioned five factories to meet demands from the global market, as well as to undertake the distribution of Vitasoy's products on the Chinese mainland.
"We have also planned to move the research and development center to Nansha, which will be an important milestone in the group's development, to inject more impetus to the sustainable development of the group," added Zhong.
The headquarters is expected to reach annual revenue of more than 5 billion yuan ($706.61 million) in the first year of operation, which will increase to 11.9 billion yuan after the headquarters reaches design capacity, according to statistics released by the Nansha commerce bureau.
