New high school campus to start operation by September

Nansha Tianyuan High School of Guangzhou No 2 High School has almost finished construction of its main structure and will be put into operation before September, enrolling its first batch of 160 high school students this year.

"The school covers an overall area of 252 mu (16.8 hectares) and a building area of 170,000 square meters. The whole campus will be able to hold 75 classes for 3,000 students, covering both middle school and high school," said a person in charge of the construction project.

"We have been pushing forward the construction smoothly. Decorations will be made as our next task," said the person in charge.

The teaching area of the school covers five teaching buildings, two laboratory buildings, a library, an arts center, and a comprehensive building. It has set up special rooms for various functions, such as dancing, painting, music, and calligraphy.

The canteen of the school has three floors and covers an area of 10,000 square meters, being able to meet the daily demands of teaching staff and students.

In addition, the school has constructed a complete set of facilities for sports, including a standard outdoor plastic running track, an indoor track, two indoor heated swimming pools, two standard indoor basketball courts, 12 standard outdoor basketball courts, standard badminton courts, tennis courts, table tennis courts, volleyball courts, yoga rooms, and martial arts training areas.
