Special education school to start enrollment in September

Nansha Special Education School will start enrollment in September this year, offering 60 places for students in preschool education and compulsory education.

Covering a planned area of 59.86 mu (3.99 hectares), Nansha Special Education School has a designated scale of 45 classes, holding 360 students. Construction on the school started in March 2018.

At present, Nansha has been building an instruction center on special education at the district level to boost the development of special education in Nansha.

In addition, Nansha has carried out various measures in helping disabled people find job opportunities. Currently, Nansha has seen a total of 9,775 disabled people with certificates, of which 4,891 of them are at an employment age, accounting for 50.03 percent of the total number. 

The district has offered training in areas, such as car wash, agriculture, and handicrafts for the disabled. A total of 2,029 participants have since found jobs, with an employment rate of 41.48 percent.
