The conservation and development planning for Dagang village in Nansha's Huangge town, Guangzhou, has started public solicitation from April 20 to May 19.
Located at the southwest of Huangge town, Dagang village is one of the major villages of the town. The document released mainly involves an area of 440 hectares.
A total of eight culture relic protection sites listed at the district level, three buildings with traditional architectural styles, as well as four old trees have been listed as material protection elements in the village.
The document has emphasized that the alleys and streets in Dajing should preserve its current style, size, material, and drainage method.
Elements like Huangge Kylin Dance, traditional murals, and traditional folk customs have been listed among the intangible protection elements.
Buildings that don't match the traditional architectural styles in the village are suggested to be renovated or be torn down. A limit for the height of buildings has also been set at nine meters. Damage to cultural relics in the area is prohibited.
