Guangzhou's Nansha district has donated a batch of medical supplies for the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including 30,000 masks and 10 hand thermometers, to Gwangju's Nam District in South Korea, gznsnews.com reported on April 14.
The supplies were transported by Guangdong Top Ideal Scm Services Group Co Ltd.
Nam District, which established a sister district relationship with Nansha in November 2011, is Nansha's only sister district. Since establishing sister district relationships, the two areas have carried out deep communications and cooperation in areas spanning trade, economy, culture, education, and tourism.
A letter of gratitude has been sent back to Nansha by the head of Nam District on behalf of the district, noting that the supplies Nansha donated are urgently needed in the district, as well as that the friendship between the two areas will be further elevated through the efforts made in jointly fighting the COVID-19 epidemic.
