Nansha to embrace new experimental school

Guangzhou University Affiliated Middle School Nansha Experimental School finished capping its first teaching building on May 10.

The school is located on the northwest side of Lingshan Island in the Pearl Bay Area, the east side of Tingjiao Bridge, and the west side of Tanwei Bridge (Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway).

The school plans an area of about 215,000 square meters and a total construction area of 181,000 sq m.It is planned to set up 96 teaching classes for the 4,620 students in the school.

The capped teaching building is one of two 5-storey primary school teaching buildings. The other teaching building and the primary school administrative center will also be capped this month.

The school campus adopts a zoning approach to overall layout. According to the location and shape of the block, it is divided into primary and secondary schools.

From the functional settings, the primary school is equipped with a comprehensive activity center, an art and science building, a teaching building, an administrative management center, a canteen, a gymnasium, and an outdoor sports field.

The completion of the school will help to change the situation of insufficient quality education resources in Nansha and will provide more space for students comprehensive development.

At present, Nansha sets benchmarks for international city standards, cultivating and upgrading their modern  service functions.

With more major projects and headquarters enterprises, Nansha has already shown a trend of population agglomeration. Therefore, large-scale construction of public service facilities such as education and medical care is urgently required.
