Nansha celebrates International Nurses Day

The 2019 Nansha District Nursing Innovation Creative Competition celebrating International Nurses Day was held in Nansha on May 10.

The 12 players who stood out from the preliminary competition staged a wonderful competition. With their professional knowledge, they brought in various innovative projects and demonstrated their results, winning the unanimous approval of the on-site judges.

Thirteen excellent nursing groups and 43 excellent nurses selected by the district were commended and awarded honorary certificates. Ten Most Beautiful Nurses also appeared to receive awards.

Liu Chaoyang, deputy mayor of Nansha district, said that Nansha continues to deepen the reform of the medical and health system, build a smart medical network, and implement a graded diagnosis and treatment system.

"It also optimizes the allocation of health resources in the district, and has welcomed a number of high-quality medical resources and accelerated construction of key medical projects, " he added.

The district established an advanced national grassroots traditional Chinese medicine work unit, deepened the construction of the National Health Tourism Demonstration Base, and achieved good results in becoming a front runner in health in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Nansha will further promote the reform of nursing management, technology and services, enhance nurses’ awareness of scientific research and innovation, and improve their service and ability.

In their everyday work positions, nurses protect the health of the people and take health and family planning undertakings in the district to a new level.
