Nansha team wins sea sail race championship

The 10th International Regatta Competition was launched at the National Sailing Base of Haikou on March 17. More than 600 players from seven levels and 56 teams participated in the event.

Guangzhou Nansha team Tong Ran won first place in the two rounds of the URC3 group level.Known as the “China's First Offshore Regatta”, the Haifan Race is held annually. From 14 sailboats in 2010 to 56 this year, the ten-year history of sea sail race has witnessed the progress of Chinese sailing.

The Tong Ran sailing boat has rich race experiences in large events. It won second place in the IRC-C group of the 9th China Cup Regatta and the 7th Aloha Cup Ring Hainan Island Regatta Race.

The wind speed on the sea reached 15 knots and -18 knots and the maximum gust was over 20 knots. Strong wind, great tide, and large flow made the game uncontrollable. Many regattas didn’t have a choice but to retire due to varying degrees of damage.
