Dongwan Village renovation project starts

On March 5, the Dongwan Village renovation project was started. To the tune of a rumbling excavator, guests jointly lifted their shovels full of soil.

The renovation location is on the north side of Jingang Avenue, Dongwan Village, Huangge Town. It is an area of second-class residential land, primary and secondary school land, and commercial service facilities. The area covers 193,100 square meters ,divided into four small plots. The maximum plot ratio of small plots is not more than 4.3, and the total surface area is not more than 665,000 square meters.

According to the plan, a large-scale commercial complex and a first-line Jiaomen River landscape house will be built and are expected to attract quality education resources. 

Deng Yaoqi, deputy mayor of  Nansha district, attended the event. He said that Dongwan Village is located on the east side of the Guangzhou-Macao Expressway in Huangge Town, about 5 kilometers north of the Qingsheng High Speed Railway Station.

It is adjacent to the Jiaomen Subway Station in the south, and is 10 minutes by car from the National Forest Park. It is near the Jiaomen River in the east and is only 200 meters away from Jiaomen Station of Metro Line 4.

Dongwan Village has an excellent functional location and is the core area for Nansha's administrative culture and comprehensive services. According to the basic data of the Dongwan Village Urban Renewal Project announced by the Nansha District National Bureau of Statistics last year, the transformation of Dongwan Village will be carried out in Shangsiqing and Xishuijiao area, which have a total area of 308,700 square meters and a registered population of about 3,082. The construction area of the renovation is about 211,674 square meters.

Huangge Town is a core township of Nansha with a good development opportunity. Local government has actively implemented updated policies to enhance the appearance of the district and benefit residents. With the start of the project, the economic, social, educational, cultural and other aspects of the Greater Bay area will undergo earth-shaking changes in the future.

The community will be more prosperous. Income levels, living standards, the quality of life and sense of acquisition of residents will be greatly enhanced. Yao Huiqiong, vice chairman and president of Galaxy Holding Group, said that after the completion of the project, the village will become the new center of Nansha.

Social, economic, cultural and educational aspects of the district and the coordinated development of commerce and industry will be greatly improved. A large number of taxation and employment opportunities will be created.

"The landing of the project is the first step."
