Express rail fares from HK to Guangzhou set at $33

Fares from Hong Kong to Guangzhou on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed rail line to open in the third quarter this year will be set at HK$ 260 ($33) per trip, according to Frank Chan Fan, secretary for Transport and Housing of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

On Dec 27 the National People's Congress Standing Committee approved the cooperation agreement between Guangdong province and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to establish the Mainland Port Area at the West Kowloon Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link in order to implement the co-location of customs and immigration control facilities.
