The zone generated over 90 billion yuan ($12.87 billion) in revenue in 2025 and attracted top-tier companies and design masters, including architect He Jingtang and fashion designer Ji Wenbo.
The area has gained global recognition, hosting events like the "World Green Design Capital" initiative and the 2025 "Better and Better" International Design Competition, which drew 7,183 submissions from 52 countries and regions. In September, South China's first architectural exhibition space opened, displaying over 300 models and manuscripts.
Supported by policies and platforms such as the Guangdong Academy of Sciences Transformation Service Center, the zone blends industry with urban life. Residential renewal projects and vivid public spaces, such as the Red Dot Art Square, create a live-work-play environment.
Guangzhou Design Valley plans further expansion, with new projects and international events set to reinforce its role as a creative engine for the district's high-quality development.
