Visitors can step into the fields, try their hand at cutting sugarcane in a 60-mu (4-hectare) open plantation, and experience the joy of harvest. The event will also feature creative sugarcane-themed sports activities, including sugarcane dancing and relay runs. A 4-kilometer circular hiking route connects the village's signature industries, such as sugarcane and butterfly orchids. Participants can redeem fresh sugarcane by completing mobile check-in tasks along the way.
Additionally, an agricultural-themed market will showcase local products like night-blooming cereus, sugarcane, intangible cultural heritage redwood palace lanterns, and specialty snacks. Farmhouse recommendations and promotional discounts will also be available. Participants will not only receive fresh sugarcane but also discount vouchers for designated farmhouses.
Xiashi village, a primarily agricultural area with beautiful natural surroundings, is best known for its sugarcane production. The event aims to promote the integration of agriculture and tourism, allowing urban residents to experience farming culture and rural life right on the district's doorstep.
