Guangzhou Zhouxing Food, a provincial-level agricultural leader based in Baiyun district for over 40 years, launched its new brand store on Jiefang Middle Road in Yuexiu district on Nov 21.

The store features simple yet elegant decor, showcasing water chestnut cakes in innovative flavors such as purple potato, pandan, and lingzhi mushroom. It also offers a series of freshly prepared water chestnut desserts and beverages. On the opening day, a local resident, Aunt Wang, exclaimed, "I used to travel all the way to Jianggao town to buy these, but now I can enjoy the same decades-old traditional taste right at my doorstep."

The second floor features an ICH experience zone, offering visitors activities such as water chestnut planting displays, clay craft workshops, and water chestnut cake-making sessions. These experiences encourage residents, particularly younger generations, to engage closely with this traditional craft. General Manager Zhou Xiaojun expressed hopes that the store would help consumers directly appreciate the cultural charm of water chestnut cakes and promote the inheritance of traditional culinary culture.

Moving forward, the store will regularly host public educational events, positioning itself as a tangible and edible ICH cultural hub dedicated to showcasing and sharing the essence of Cantonese culinary traditions.
