At the 15th National Games mass demonstration dragon and lion dance finals, Tang Zixuan and Chen Haonan from Baiyun district's Jinsha sub-district, members of the Fenggang Yongsheng Sports Association, won the gold medal in the traditional Southern Lion category as part of the Guangdong provincial team.

Having trained for nearly 10 years at the century-old Fenggang Yongsheng Sports Association, the two youths engaged in rigorous daily practice. During training, they served both as cymbal players and substitute lion dancers, practicing up to 12 hours a day to perfect their coordination and rhythm.

Despite initial nerves competing at the national level, their focus and dedication paid off with a championship victory. After their success, Tang and Chen expressed their commitment to further improving their skills, promoting Southern Lion culture, and inspiring more young people to appreciate this traditional art form.
