On Nov 2, the Guangzhou leg of the 15th National Games torch relay was held in front of the Zhenhai Building in Yuexiu Park.

Yang Jinghui, a diving champion at the Athens Olympics, served as the first torchbearer, carrying the torch named "Blossom", which symbolizes "integration" and "glory", igniting the enthusiasm of the entire city.

A total of 68 torchbearers from various fields took part in the Guangzhou relay, highlighting the diverse social fabric and spirit of the city. Among them, Wang Juan, an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of crochet knitting in Baiyun district, served as the 20th torchbearer. She expressed that the torch relay conveys the belief that everyone can shine in their own lane, emphasizing the shared values between sportsmanship and entrepreneurial perseverance, and encouraging people to pursue their dreams courageously.

In the afternoon, after the torch relay passed through Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, a flame-integration ceremony was held at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center.

The 15th National Games is set to open on Nov 9, and Guangzhou extends a warm invitation to the nation to join in the celebration of this grand event.
