Updated : October 30, 2025

To welcome the 15th National Games opening in November, Yuntai Garden and Yunluo Botanical Garden have rolled out a series of themed cultural activities.

A highlight is the inaugural joint petunia flower show, held from Oct 26, 2025, to Jan 5, 2026. The exhibition features about 80,000 potted "Guangzhou Series" petunias across 72 varieties, many of which are displayed for the first time.

Yuntai Garden has embraced the National Games spirit with mascot-themed flowerbeds and large topiary sculptures at its entrance. The garden is also hosting an old photo exhibition for its 30th anniversary and has reopened its greenhouse as a specialized desert plant zone, showcasing over 100 species of cacti and succulents after renovations.

Meanwhile, Yunluo Botanical Garden offers unique experiences as a sub-venue of the third China (Guangzhou) Park Culture and Creative Conference. The event brings together 327 cultural and creative products from 20 renowned botanical gardens across China. The garden's orchid pavilion is hosting three special plant exhibitions – featuring rare orchids, gesneriads, and carnivorous plants – and will extend opening hours on select dates to allow for nighttime visits.

By integrating flowers, cultural creations, evening activities, and sports culture, the twin gardens provide diverse recreational options for visitors.
